The Wild Swans, a post-punk band from Liverpool, England, which originally formed in 1980 are coming to Manila!

Shortly after Paul Simpson (ex-keyboards) left The Teardrop Explodes and teamed up (on vocals) with Jeremy Kelly (guitar), Ged Quinn (keyboards), James Weston (bass) and Justin Stavely (drums). Stavely was later replaced by Alan Wills and although bass players came and went, Joseph Fearon played on both of the studio albums, recorded by a reincarnated Mark II version of the band.

The Wild Swans have not to date recorded any charting hits or albums, but they have enjoyed a degree of success and/or cult status in the US, Germany, UK, Japan, and especially the Philippines. The Wild Swans also spun off two charting splinter projects; Care and The Lotus Eaters. Members of The Wild Swans have also been members of such Liverpool-based UK chart acts as Echo & The Bunnymen, The Icicle Works, The Woodentops and The Lightning Seeds. That is history folks!

On October 1, it’s a gift as the Wild Swans will be performing here in Manila. Thanks to Giz Rockque, a long-ago friend who are just one of the fantastic people behind all things Swans!

It’s a lot different, we had already what they call Sorsogon City Baywalk, much like those in Manila Bay, just the name kay although lain pa man ako didto nakaabot sa Manila, methinks harayoon pa an diperensya when it comes to the establishments that surrounds the bay. But we really had the wonderful time, we as family, its a great moment. Mala kay sige lang ni Dana Bessy an haya san naghali na ako. But that’s reality: work+family and God. Til here…mabalos!

Times really flies so fast, months back, we’re both peeking at her Mamma’s OB-Gyne’s ultrasound machine catching a glimpse of what she’s doing but now…she can count already! Ha, ha, ha! We’re so proud of Baby Bessy.

This is my proud Mamma. She’s amazing at how she and Papa raised the 9 of us! Well, since she too came from a large family… it’s no wonder kinaya ninda to give us all the need in our lives. Since we’re all doing fine and okay, I think it’s a testament at how REALLY good is being OUR ILAW ng TAHANAN!, so to speak.

My wife likewise is so great and good at what she does best… taking care of our family, especially OUR BABY BESSY and me. They’re a whole lot fun to be with. But most of the time I’m here in Manila for my work but nevertheless I’m happy that My Wife is really capable of doing things that normally exists in a family even in my absence.
